From January to August 2023, the total value of China's goods trade exports was 15.47 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%. Among them, the machinery industry performed outstandingly, with a total export volume of 522.2 billion US dollars from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%, and the export of major engineering machinery products showed a good growth momentum.
Among them, the "Belt and Road" has undoubtedly become a new fulcrum for leveraging the industry to go overseas. In the first half of this year, China's imports and exports with countries along the "Belt and Road" were 6.89 trillion yuan, accounting for 34.3% of the total import and export value. The rising demand for infrastructure construction in countries along the route and the increasing dependence on Chinese manufacturing have also provided a lot of opportunities for China's engineering machinery exports.
